Bayer will be led by a new CEO
Bill Anderson will become CEO of the German chemical giant Bayer as of June 1 this year. Until then, in April, he will join its board of directors.
Bill Anderson was elected unanimously by the board as CEO after a rigorous selection process that began mid-last year as current Bayer CEO Werner Baumann announced his planned retirement after 35 years at Bayer.
“We are delighted to welcome Bill Anderson as the new CEO of Bayer. He is the perfect candidate to take Bayer to a new and successful stage with the team,” said Norbert Winkeljohann, Chairman of Bayer’s Supervisory Board.
The future CEO has held senior positions in various companies over the past 25 years, including leading the Genentech company, a pioneer in biotechnology.
