Grodno Azot was left without electricity

Several workshops of Grodno Azot (Belarus) were forced to suspend production. According to the official statement, this happened due to a power outage.

In particular, the production of carbamide, caprolactam, nitric acid, methanol and carbamide-ammoniac compound was stopped. The plant staff is doing everything necessary to restore the functioning of the shops and stabilize the situation.

Representatives of the Grodno Azot company warned that combustibles would be disposed of by burning in a flare plant. This process may take several days. All this time, the red smoke, which is a combination of nitrogen and oxygen, can be seen. It does not pose any threat to the ecology of the city.
