Brazil continues to purchase Russian fertilizers
Despite the difficulties caused by the sanctions, fertilizer supplies continue between Russia and Brazil. This was announced during the 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Rafael Guimaraes Requiao, who holds the post of Agricultural Attache of the Brazilian Embassy in Russia.
The Brazilian diplomat stressed that the political and financial situation in the world is the cause of a number of difficulties. Thanks to serious efforts on the part of Brazil and Russia, the countries manage to keep the trade flow. Issues related to insurance, payments and freight slow down decision-making a little, lead to some uncertainty and ultimately affect the cost.
Rafael Guimaraes Requiao noted that Russia is the main supplier of fertilizers for Brazilian agriculture. He stressed that in 2022, a record trade turnover was recorded between the countries – almost $10 billion.
