Cameroon Expects Russia Could Help It with Fertilizer Production
It is already 10 years since the fertilizer plant construction project in Cameroon was announced by the German company Ferrostaal, yet it has not been implemented. The authorities of Cameroon believe that Russia is capable of becoming the first country to establish the production of mineral fertilizers in an African state.
The Government of Cameroon notes that all projects for the construction of fertilizer plants, which are being implemented by other countries, have been put on hold or are being carried out extremely slowly. As explained by the representative of the Ministry of Economy of Cameroon, the cost of natural gas makes projects unprofitable.
