EuroChem Supported the Launch of Educational and Production Cluster
A new educational and production cluster in the chemical industry was created thanks to EuroChem’s participation in the implementation of the Federal Project “Professionality”. An agreement to create a cluster was signed in 2022 between the Russian Government and the company’s enterprises.
The project is aimed at developing human resources and creating effective training for the chemical industry, replicating the best practices of mentoring and training at enterprises, improving and modernizing the material and technical base.
Since the beginning of the new academic year, seven modernized laboratories have been operating on the basis of the Novomoskovsk Institute of Chemical Technologies in various areas: electrical engineering and equipment, industrial automation, electronic engineering, and chemical technology. Students are trained on modern stands and training complexes. Thus, specialized software in the virtual laboratory “Processes and Apparatuses of Chemical Technology” allows you to study the basics of real ammonia and carbamide production.
An important feature of the project is the practical orientation of training. Students will study not only in well-equipped college laboratories but also have internships at EuroChem’s modern production facilities.
The creation of an educational and production cluster in the chemical sector makes it possible to attract young qualified specialists to the industry and helps to increase the prestige of working professions among young people.
EuroChem is consistently creating a training system for new chemical industry engineers in the cities where it operates, including early motivation in schools, specialized additional education, science competitions, targeted training in universities and colleges, practical training at enterprises, and training in its own training centers.
Thanks to the support of EuroChem, Kingisepp College of Technology and Service in the Leningrad region and Kovdor Polytechnic College in the Murmansk region also participate in the “Professionality” project. It’s planned that from 2024, Nevinnomyssk Chemical Technology College (Stavropol region) and Berezniki Polytechnic College (Perm region) can join the program.
