Sipcam Oxon SpA, a leader in agricultural technology, has acquired the assets of Grosafe Chemicals Ltd, a respected player in New Zealand’s agricultural sector. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the acquisition marks a key step in Sipcam Oxon’s global expansion strategy through its newly established subsidiary, Sipcam New Zealand Ltd.

For almost 30 years, Grosafe has been providing high-value solutions to New Zealand’s agriculture industry. This long-standing reputation for innovation aligns closely with Sipcam Oxon’s values, making the acquisition a natural fit. Nadia Gagliardini, President of Sipcam Oxon, noted that the alignment between the two companies would foster further growth and innovation in the sector.

David MacGibbon, who will lead the new subsidiary as CEO, expressed excitement about the future. With a focus on building strong customer relationships, MacGibbon plans to expand upon Grosafe’s established presence, driving forward innovative solutions that help farmers optimize crop yields and boost productivity.

Paolo Brogi, CEO of Sipcam Oxon SpA, emphasized that the acquisition is a significant move in the company’s global strategy. With a stronger presence in the Asia-Pacific region, Sipcam Oxon aims to better serve its clients and explore new opportunities. Brogi added that combining the strengths of both companies will enable Sipcam to offer a more comprehensive range of products that meet the evolving needs of farmers.

This acquisition signals Sipcam Oxon’s continued commitment to supporting sustainable farming practices and providing innovative technologies to the agriculture industry. As Sipcam New Zealand takes on this new role, it is positioned to make a meaningful impact on both the local and global agricultural sectors.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
