Brandt appoints Mauricio Andrião to lead international operations

Brandt, the US-based agricultural solutions company, is reshaping its international operations with the appointment of
Mauricio Andrião as Vice President, Brandt International, effective September 1. Andrião will oversee Brandt’s business outside the US and Canada and chair the newly formed International Board of Managers, reporting to the company’s Executive Team.
He succeeds Ramon Georgis, who will retire on December 31, 2025, after more than three decades of building Brandt’s international presence. The transition period will see Andrião and Georgis working together to ensure continuity.
“Brandt has been active internationally for over 30 years, and Mauricio brings leadership, accountability, and focus to help energize our global business,” said Rick Brandt, President and CEO.
Andrião brings nearly 20 years of experience in the biologicals and specialty fertilizer sector, including senior roles across Brazil, South Africa, and Europe at Stoller and Corteva Agriscience. He holds an Executive MBA from Fundesem Business School in Spain and an MSc. in Horticulture and Agronomy from the University of the State of São Paulo.
In his new role, Andrião will focus on restructuring Brandt’s international business into defined geographic regions, while maintaining the company’s team-oriented culture. Brandt currently sells products in more than 85 countries, with international manufacturing facilities in Brazil, Spain, and South Africa.
Industry analysts said the leadership change could strengthen Brandt’s position in competitive global markets, particularly in South America, Europe, and Africa, and help the company capture emerging opportunities in biologicals and specialty fertilizers.
“Brandt has a strong team, unique products, and world-class production capabilities. My goal is to unify these assets and drive growth in key markets,” Andrião said. “The role aligns closely with my experience in Brazil, South Africa, and Europe, and I look forward to contributing to the company’s next chapter.”
The International Board of Managers, consisting of Brandt’s equity partners from Brazil, Europe, and Africa, will help define strategic objectives and monitor progress for Brandt International, reinforcing governance and accountability across global operations.
With this appointment, Brandt continues its strategy of building a deep bench of leaders for long-term growth, extending its US leadership model to international markets.
Andrião, who holds both Brazilian and Spanish citizenship, will continue to reside in Elche, Spain, while maintaining an office at Brandt’s global headquarters in Tampa.
