Nutrien opens upgraded retail facility in Tipton, Indiana

Nutrien Ag Solutions has opened its newly upgraded retail facility in Tipton, Indiana, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 9, marking the completion of a major infrastructure project under the company’s North American capital improvement initiative.
The project is part of Nutrien’s broader effort to modernize operations and expand capacity in regions experiencing strong agricultural growth. The event brought together employees, farmers, suppliers and local leaders, who toured the facility and reviewed new capabilities designed to improve efficiency and service delivery.
The Tipton site is among Nutrien’s most advanced retail facilities, featuring expanded storage and blending systems for fertilizers, crop nutrients and crop protection products. Key upgrades include:
- A 5,000-ton dry fertilizer storage system with rail access and a 250-ton-per-hour receiving and blending line for precise nutrient mixes.
- A liquid storage and blending operation with 2 million gallons of UAN storage, 240,000 gallons of nutritional storage and 110,000 gallons of chemistry storage, supported by interior and exterior load pads.
- An expanded anhydrous ammonia system with four riser platforms, 120,000 gallons of storage and stabilizer injection capabilities.
- A modernized office designed to integrate digital and operational efficiencies.
Nutrien said the improvements will allow it to deliver more customized products and services to farmers in central Indiana, supporting higher yields, profitability and sustainable practices.
