Staphyt and GenoScreen partner to integrate genomics with regulatory field trials

Staphyt, a contract research and regulatory consultancy, and GenoScreen, a French microbial genomics specialist, have formed a partnership to provide end-to-end services for agricultural biostimulants and biocontrol products.
The collaboration brings together GenoScreen’s genomic expertise with Staphyt’s experience in field trials and regulatory submissions, offering companies a single pathway from laboratory research to regulatory approval. Accurate genomic data is increasingly critical in Europe, where regulators require detailed information on product safety, efficacy, and impact on soil and plant microbiomes.
Under the agreement, GenoScreen will tap Staphyt’s capabilities in managing marketing authorizations and conducting field, greenhouse, and laboratory studies. Staphyt will in turn adopt GenoScreen’s genomic tools, including sequencing, bioinformatics, and assays to track microorganisms’ effects on soil communities.
The partnership addresses growing demand from clients who need both scientific insight and compliant regulatory data. “This partnership links field trials with genomic analysis to strengthen regulatory evidence,” said Téo Fournier, director of solutions and services at GenoScreen. Olivier Marchioro, CEO of Staphyt, added that clients increasingly need services that combine research and regulatory expertise to meet evolving European standards.
GenoScreen, based in Lille, France, has more than 20 years of experience in microbial genomics and bioinformatics. Staphyt operates internationally across agroscience, biocides, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals, with offices in Europe, Morocco, Brazil, and the United States.
