Tend is promoting its cloud-based farm management platform designed to help growers manage agricultural operations from crop planning to product sales within a single digital system.

The platform integrates tools for crop planning, task and labor management, inventory tracking, accounting, and analytics. Tend says its software allows farmers to manage operations through web and mobile interfaces, including offline functionality for field use. The system also features an AI-supported crop library that provides preloaded agronomic data, including plant spacing, time to maturity, and expected yields, which growers can customize to match their production practices.

Tend’s platform also focuses on traceability and compliance, automatically documenting the movement of crops and inputs from seed to sale. The company says the feature can help farms prepare reports required for organic, regenerative, and food safety certifications while improving operational oversight. Growers using the software include diversified vegetable farms, vineyards, orchards, nurseries, and microgreens producers, according to the company.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
