BlauChem to build several plants in Ukraine

At the beginning of 2020, BlauChem plans launching an enterprise to produce liquid compound fertilizers in the city of Zhytomyr (Ukraine). The pilot plant was put into operation in the city of Berdyansk in the 2nd quarter of this year.

“By the end of next year, the company plans to get production running at four plants (in the city of Zhytomyr, in Kharkov, Vinnitsa, and Kirovograd regions). The specific feature of the factories built with the use of the American technology is automation to the highest extent possible. Thanks to the software package, the process of fertilizer production and shipment is only managed remotely by a few operators from a control point at some distance away. The production capacity after the launch of regional enterprises will be 20-30 thousand tons of liquid compound fertilizers per month,” says the BlauChem statement.

Sergey Ruban, Commercial Director of BlauChem, predicts a revolutionary transition to more advanced fertilizer systems in Ukraine in the next 2-3 years, which will save 30% of the cost of fertilizer application.

By his estimate, by 2022, the amount of carbamide-ammonia mixture applied will be over 1 million tons per year, ammonia, 200 thousand tons per year. The amount of liquid compound fertilizers applied will increase tenfold and will reach 200-300 thousand tons per year.
