Kemerovo Azot is facing a serious problem

The Department of Russian Technical Supervision Service (Rostekhnadzor) across Siberian Federal District has inspected Kemerovo Azot (part of SDS Azot) and reported that the natural gas shop on the territory of the enterprise, where a worker was injured in December 2019, had been built and operated without permits. Administrative cases have been instituted on these facts.

According to the Rostekhnadzor’s findings, the two-story natural gas shop is an object of capital construction and is located on the territory of a hazardous production facility, so the company should have got a report of appraisal from the State Construction Supervision and Inspection Service (Gosstroiadzor) before putting it into operation in 2018, which had not been done.

Administrative case files on the violations have been compiled in accordance with Part 1 of Article 9.5 (“Construction, reconstruction of capital construction objects without a building permit in case”) and part 5 of Article 9.5 (“Operation of a capital construction object without permission to put it into operation”) of the Code of Administrative Offenses and sent for consideration to the Arbitration Court of the Kemerovo region. For these violations, the company may be fined or sanctioned in the form of administrative suspension of activity for up to 90 days at the discretion of the court.
