Russian Railways favors urea from Turkmenistan

The Center of Corporate Transportation Services of Russian Railways (RZD) has set a coefficient of 0.5 for the tariff for transit carriage of urea produced in Turkmenistan through Russia.

The coefficient will be valid throughout the current year. In 2019, it was equal to 0.7.

At present, there are three enterprises in Turkmenistan producing urea and belonging to the state concern Turkmen Chemistry: Tejenkarbamid, May Fertilizer Plant, and Garabogazkarbamid with a capacity of 350 thousand tons, 640 thousand tons and 1.1 million tons per year, respectively.
