Apatit to help farmers in the Saratov region

The Balakovo branch of Apatit (part of PhosAgro) has concluded an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Saratov Region on cooperation in providing the region’s farmers with mineral fertilizers and feed phosphates for seasonal agricultural work.

The document was signed by the Minister of Agriculture of the Saratov Region Tatyana Kravtseva and Director of the Balakovo branch of Apatit Andrey Shibnev.

“We have signed an annual agreement on the supply of mineral fertilizers to Saratov farmers,” said Tatyana Kravtseva. “Our farmers store up fertilizers and begin to apply them more widely. But there are still opportunities. This agreement is very important for our agricultural producers.”

Andrey Shibnev has assured that cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Saratov Region is long-term oriented.

“Last year brought us a record in the supply of mineral fertilizers to farmers in the Saratov region – more than 23 thousand tons compared to 11 thousand tons in 2018. The upward trend in the fertilizers supply from the Balakovo branch of Apatit to the farmers in the Saratov region and to the domestic market as a whole will remain in 2020. In January, more than 50% of the Balakovo branch products were delivered to the Russian market, and in February this volume will reach 70%. Cooperation with the Saratov region is one of our priorities. We are ready to provide our regional farmers with environmentally friendly and safe PhosAgro products, which have demonstrated their effectiveness in the farm fields in more than 100 countries,” said Andrey Shibnev.
