In order to maintain its activities amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the Moroccan OCP Group has loaded a ship with phosphate rock in the Port El Aaiún without any human contact between people. This operation is part of the industrial digitalization project launched by OCP Group last year.
Drones were used to supervise the operation. The images filmed by the drones were viewed by OCP Group experts in real time in order to ensure rapid loading, thus saving the teams from the contamination risks.
In addition, experts were able to check the ship’s holds before starting the loading.
