PhosAgro increased its 1H2020 production by almost 7%

In the first half of 2020, PhosAgro increased the production of mineral fertilizers by 6.6% to almost 5.014 million tons.

Of the company’s total production volumes, the output of phosphorous fertilizers and feed phosphates raised by 7% to 3.807 million tons, the production of nitrogen fertilizers also increased by 5.7% to 1.206 million tons. The production of apatite and nepheline concentrates rose by 1.2% to 5.931 million tons.

As part of the development strategy until 2025, at the beginning of this year, Apatit (part of PhosAgro) reached the designed capacity (up to 300 thousand tons per year) in its production of ammonium sulfate. This product is used as a raw material for the production of sulfate fertilizers NPK(S) and reduces its production cost compared to purchased ammonium sulfate.
