$25 million spent on land reclamation in Russia

Russian farmers received governmental support for the implementation of amelioration measures of 1.862 billion rubles (approximately $25.3 million). Farmers already received 17.5% of the annual limit of federal funds, which is 9.7% more compared to the same period in 2019.

1.469 billion rubles (approx. $19.9 million) are provided in the framework of the programs “Development of the ameliorative complex of Russia” and “Export of agricultural products”. The rest of the financing in the amount of 366 million rubles (approx. $4.9 million) is the funds of regional budgets.

The leading positions in providing subsidies to farmers take the Volga (41.3%), Northwestern (38%) and Central (24.6%) Federal Districts. Farmers of the Novosibirsk region received the state support in full, farmers of the Saratov region received 92% of funds, and farmers of the Ulyanovsk region received 90%.
