Balakovo branch of Apatit will increase its efficiency

The Balakovo branch of Apatit (part of PhosAgro) has completed technical re-equipment of the neutralization unit at the 4th system of the phosphorus fertilizer workshop. The implementation of the project will allow increasing the line productivity in the production of ammophos from 60 to 65 tons per hour and ammonium phosphate sulphate (NPS) fertilizers from 48 to 60 tons per hour.

“The new equipment will make the 4th system of the phosphorus fertilizer workshop more flexible,” noted Andrey Shibnev, General Director of Balakovo branch of Apatit. “That is crucial in current market conditions when demand is changing rapidly, and it’s necessary to quickly switch from the production of one type of fertilizer to another, thereby meeting the needs of farmers.”

“In the challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic, PhosAgro managed to maintain both the pace of production and planned implementation of the investment projects. The team of the enterprise and contractors completed the assigned tasks, for which many thanks to everyone,” said Andrey Shibnev.
