Uralkali predicts that by the end of 2020, the consumption of potassium chloride in the global market will slightly increase and reach 65-66 million tons. The main drivers will become strong demand in Brazil and future expected demand in the markets of Southeast Asia, the USA and Central America.
“In the first half of 2020, the situation in the global potassium market remained relatively difficult due to the overproduction in 2019. Potassium prices continued its reducing trend, while demand for potash was quite stable. We expect more favorable market conditions in the second half of 2020,” Uralkali’s press-release says.
