Confidence returned to the potassium market

EuroChem believes that in the second half of this year, the demand for potassium fertilizers will be at a high level in the global market.

The coordination of Chinese and Indian contracts for the import of potassium chloride in smaller volumes in the second quarter of 2020, has brought some confidence back to the potassium market. Amid the strong demand due to the widespread of barter, these factors will continue driving up the prices of imported potassium chloride in Brazil in the second half of 2020. The rise in corn prices in the US and crude palm oil in Southeast Asia are also likely to ensure strong demand for the imported potassium chloride in major US and Southeast Asia markets,” says the company’s press-release related to the 1H2020 financial results.
