Chuvashia increases the import of agrochemicals

The press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Chuvash Republic reports that Chuvashia continues to import mineral fertilizers, and has imported 42.3% more products than during the same period of last year.

At least 15.5 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers need to be applied to the fields of the region annually. As of today, already 20.4 thousand tons have been purchased or 131.4% of the required volume.

By the end of 2020, the volume of purchased mineral fertilizers will allow the Chuvash Republic to increase its application by 22.9% to 42-44 kg per hectare. In general, there is a positive dynamics of the use of mineral fertilizers in the region as, over the past five years, the level of its application has increased by 1.7 times.
