PhosAgro-Region (part of PhosAgro) announced the opening of a new regional office in the city of Samara. The key goal of the office is to provide agricultural producers of the Samara, Saratov, Orenburg, and Ulyanovsk regions with modern mineral fertilizers of PhosAgro.

“The opening of a regional office in the Middle Volga region is another step to the implementation of PhosAgro’s development strategy until 2025, aimed at further expanding of PhosAgro presence in the priority Russian market. Along with the development of the PhosAgro-Region chain, we plan to expand the range of products for the Russian market. PhosAgro’s portfolio of products currently consists of more than 50 brands of mineral fertilizers, including granular fertilizers with microelements, which are unique for Russia. We will have introduced 50 new products by 2025.

The new brands, like the existing PhosAgro mineral nutrition complexes, will have improved environmental characteristics established by the Green Standard for Russian agricultural products,” noted PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev.

“Today, the Volga region especially demands the modern crop protection technologies, as well as systems for increasing the yield and quality of crops based on modern mineral fertilizers,” said Andrey Vovk, General Director of PhosAgro-Region. “As of early November, the regional companies of PhosAgro-Region increased the supply of mineral fertilizers to the farmers of the Volga Federal District by almost 15% to 360 thousand tons. Moreover, in the regions of the Middle Volga, this dynamics is almost twice as high. The regional office in Samara will meet the growing demand for modern mineral fertilizers of PhosAgro in the Middle Volga and the Orenburg regions, as well as expand the range of agronomic services for regional agricultural producers. One of the most promising and interesting areas is the use of liquid complex fertilizers to increase the profitability of agricultural production.”

The new office of PhosAgro in Samara is the 19th regional office of the PhosAgro-Region chain, which became part of PhosAgro-NorthWest. The company supplies almost 17% of the total sales volumes of PhosAgro.

During the nine-month period of 2020, PhosAgro-Region increased the total volume of supplies of mineral fertilizers to Russian farmers by 9.7% to 2.93 million tons.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
