Togliattiazot installed a synthesis reactor

During the construction of a new carbamide production unit, Togliattiazot (Samara region) installed a synthesis reactor. A crane with a lifting capacity of up to 750 tons was used for its installation.

“The performed work for the installation of the reactor is significant not only for the future efficient operation of the new carbamide unit. It also became an important milestone in the project, demonstrating that despite the difficulties caused by COVID-19, Togliattiazot meets the construction deadlines for the third unit, and the company will be increasing its pace in 2021,” said Project Manager Alexander Postnov.

At the moment, over 40% of construction works have been completed within the framework of the project. In November 2020, the construction of a granulation tower with a height of 107 meters was completed at the site of the future unit.
The capacity of the new carbamide unit is 2.2 thousand tons per day, the cost is over 25 billion rubles (approximately $337.8 million).
