Canpotex was disappointed with Belarusian Potash Company again
International trader Canpotex released a statement expressing its outrage at the agreement signed between Belarusian Potash Company and a consortium of their Chinese clients to supply potassium fertilizers to China at $247 per ton.
“This price is below current levels in key markets,” the company’s press-release says. “Canpotex is ready to sell potassium fertilizers to our clients in India and China until April 2021, even without signing new contracts.”
Earlier, Canpotex criticized Belarusian Potash Company for signing a contract with Indian Potash at a similar price. According to the company’s statement, the supply of potassium fertilizers in 2020 reached record volumes, and demand for them will continue to grow in 2021.
