The American Aquamarine Investment Partners (Aquamarine) is developing a project for the construction of a new ammonia plant. During the first stage, it’s planned to install and launch equipment to produce hydrogen from water. And at the second stage to run the synthesis of ammonia from received hydrogen — up to 300 tons per day.
Aquamarine will look for sites for the future plant in the north of Germany in areas where existing offshore wind farms are located. The launch of the ammonia plant is expected in 2024.
