Ukraine may fail the spring sowing campaign

The agricultural enterprises of Ukraine are provided with mineral fertilizers by only 11% of the required volume. Therefore, spring fieldwork in the country is under the threat of their shortage, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported.

According to the Ministry, the Luhansk region is provided with mineral fertilizers by 1%, the Rivne region by 6%, Odessa region by 7%, Kirovohrad region by 20%, Zhytomyr region by 22%, and Zaporizhzhia by 57%.

Such a situation may lead to a drop in crop yields in Ukraine and, as a result, losses for farmers.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Agrarian Council (UAC) announced that there is no shortage of mineral fertilizers in Ukraine. Moreover, according to the organization, their stocks in the country are now greater than on the same date last year.
