Is Cherkasy Azot shutting down?

According to a source of Fertilizer Daily, one of the largest chemical enterprises in Ukraine, Cherkasy Azot (part of Group DF), is shutting down. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to get in touch with the press-service of Group DF to verify the information and clarify the details.

Cherkasy Azot produces ammonia, ammonium nitrate, carbamide and carbamide-ammoniac compound. According to the available data, in 2020, Cherkasy Azot produced 66.8 thousand tons of ammonia, 58.2 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate, 44.4 thousand tons of carbamide and 75.5 thousand tons of carbamide-ammoniac compound.

The operation results of the plant in 2021 are unknown, however, in 2022 Cherkasy Azot planned to increase the output of ammonium nitrate and carbamide-ammoniac compound.

“In 2022, we will implement several large investment projects,” said earlier Vitaly Sklyarov, Chairman of the Board of Cherkasy Azot.

Fertilizer Daily keeps monitoring the situation at Cherkasy Azot and other chemical enterprises in Ukraine.
