Russia may expand the carbamide export quotas

As follows from the draft resolution of the Government of Russia, the current quota on carbamide exports can be increased by 435 thousand tons.

As follows from the plan for the purchase of mineral fertilizers approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, in May, the domestic agro-industrial complex will need 59.4 thousand tons of carbamide.

“Increasing the current carbamide export quota will allow chemical plants to increase their income and prevent the suspension of their capacities. The demand for carbamide from Russian farmers will be satisfied in full,” commented the information and analytical service of Fertilizer Daily.

The Russian Fertilizer Producers Association (RFPA) reports that as of mid-April, the need of Russian farmers for mineral fertilizers was satisfied by 60% of the volume planned for 2022.
