TyumenAgro will expand the cultivation of tomatoes

The TyumenAgro greenhouse complex (Tyumen region) is building the fourth stage. It will grow tomatoes on an area of 18.9 hectares. The volume of investments in its creation will amount to 6.8 billion rubles (approximately $112.8 million), and about 300 new jobs will be created.
Now work is underway on laying foundations, and assembling metal structures and artificial reservoirs. The gas supply network has been set.
Currently, TyumenAgro harvests up to 26 thousand tons of tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce per year. Deliveries are made to consumers in the Urals and Siberian federal districts.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
