The Lithuanian phosphate fertilizer plant Lifosa (part of Eurochem) has suspended its work. According to the company’s press-release, it was closed for an annual planned renovation. However, it is important to know that at the moment, the plant cannot conduct successful and efficient activities.
According to the head of Lifosa Andrey Savchuk, the last year has become one of the most difficult for the company in its history. The company simply could not produce high quality products, serve customers and pay off suppliers.
The completion date for scheduled repairs has not been disclosed.
