Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant resumed the production of calcium nitrate

Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant has completed repair work and launched the second stage of the production of calcium nitrate.

The repair lasted 22 days. It was carried out by employees of the repair departments of the plant, contractors and the calcium nitrate production shop. In the process of repair, the specialists partially replaced or repaired segments of the fluidized bed grate in the granulators, and carried out an audit of the dynamic equipment. The completed work will increase the efficiency of the production process. The nozzles of the calcium nitrate solution supply unit were put in order. In addition, workers washed tanks, the flow-transport system and bunkers.

Specialists upgraded the transfer coolers responsible for transferring the finished product from the granulator to the flow-transport system. In order to avoid the accumulation of granules, an additional blower was installed in the apparatus. Upgraded retur loading bins will make the operation process more convenient.

The company produces various grades of calcium nitrate. This product is popular in the agricultural sector, construction and oil industries. It differs from calcium nitrate, which is produced by other global manufacturers: it does not contain water and has no more than 1% nitrate, and, moreover, calcium nitrate from Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Plant does not cake.
