Petrobras signs fertilizer tolling agreement with Unigel
The Brazilian strate-run oil company Petrobras announced on Friday that it has signed a deal with the chemical producer Unigel for the toll manufacturing of fertilizers at the latter’s Sergipe and Bahia plants.
The Brazilian multinational said in a press release that the agreement is the result of a partnership that the companies established in mid-2023. It added that the deal is in keeping with its strategic plan for fertilizer production between 2024 and 2028.
Petrobras stated that it will continue to examine the feasibility of low-carbon projects – and reiterated its commitment to driving a sustainable, fair, and safe energy transition.
