Farm-ng launches electric compost spreader for regenerative agriculture

Farm-ng has introduced the Amiga Compost Spreader, an electric implement designed to automate compost distribution on farms while reducing reliance on diesel equipment.
The machine, compatible with the company’s Amiga robotic platform, features a 26-cubic-foot hopper capable of carrying up to 450 pounds of material, including compost, mulch, straw, or wood chips. It offers adjustable discharge rates between 0.1 and 10 cubic feet per minute and gate openings from ⅜ to 4.5 inches, allowing growers to control application density with precision.
Unlike conventional diesel machinery, the spreader is lightweight to minimize soil compaction and operates without noise or emissions. The unit recharges in less than five hours using a standard outlet.
Farm-ng is marketing the spreader as a tool to improve both efficiency and working conditions on regenerative and organic farms. At Full Circle Farms, the company said compost application time fell from one week to a single day following adoption of the system. Jacobs Del Cabo, a large vegetable producer, reported higher operational efficiency and improved worker satisfaction after deploying the Amiga platform for tasks including compost spreading, seeding, and weeding.
The compost spreader is priced at $6,990 and comes with a one-year limited warranty. It is available for shipment across the United States.
Farm-NG positions the technology as part of a broader effort to align farm operations with sustainability targets by reducing labor intensity, fuel use, and environmental impact.
