Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited (CFCL) is one of India’s largest private-sector fertilizer manufacturers, specializing in nitrogen-based fertilizers and agricultural inputs. The company was incorporated in 1985 and is part of the KK Birla Group. CFCL operates the Gadepan fertilizer complex in Kota District, Rajasthan, which is one of the largest single-site urea production facilities in the world. The complex consists of three ammonia plants and three urea plants with a combined annual urea production capacity of approximately 3.4 million metric tons. The company plays a significant role in supporting India’s agricultural sector by supplying fertilizers through an extensive nationwide distribution network.
In addition to fertilizer manufacturing, Chambal Fertilisers has expanded its business into crop protection products, specialty plant nutrition, seeds, and farm advisory services. The company serves millions of farmers through a network of more than 70,000 retail dealers across numerous Indian states and continues to invest in digital agriculture, sustainable farming practices, and operational excellence.
