Russian farmers will be able to purchase 3.2 million tons of fertilizers

The volume of fertilizers purchased by Russian farmers in 2019 have reached 3 million tons, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev reported at a government meeting chaired by Dmitry Medvedev.

“As of the end of September, farmers have purchased 3 million tons of fertilizers, which is almost 400 tons more than the same date last year. The forecast for fertilizer application this year is 3.2 million tons, which is higher than the level of 2018,” he said.

Dmitry Medvedev in his turn inquired the Russian Minister of Agriculture about the situation with the prices this year.

“The situation is quite stable. There are no sharp jumps. Moreover, this is true about both, the wholesale prices and the end user prices. The situation is under control. If something strays from the normal path, it will be reported,” Dmitry Patrushev confirmed.

“Do control, be in a dialogue with them. If need be, please, inform,” answered Dmitry Medvedev.
