Does Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant have serious problems?

On December 23, a session regarding the case of the administration of the Nakhodka Municipal District against the Nakhodka Fertilizer Plant (NZMU) is to be held in the Arbitration Court of Primorsky Krai.

According to the case file, the administration of the Nakhodka Municipal District wants to collect a nearly 3.510-million-ruble debt (approximately $ 50 thousand) from NZMU. The file does not explain what the debt is related to.

In addition, on January 9, 2020, a hearing regarding another case of the administration of the Nakhodka Municipal District against NZMU is scheduled in the arbitration court. The claim is to collect the debt in the amount of 227.620 million rubles (about $ 3.232 million).

NZMU is planned to produce 1.8 million tons of methanol and the same amount of ammonia per year. The start of its construction was scheduled for 2019, the launch and achievement of given capacity, – for 2023.
