Organic fertilizer application has expanded in the Tomsk Oblast
Agricultural organizations and farmers of the Tomsk Oblast are planning to purchase more than 20 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers in view of the current year’s harvest, the press service of the regional government has informed.
According to her press release, the mineral fertilizer application rate will be 24 kg (in active substance) per 1 ha of the operated area.
In addition, in preparation for the planting season, agricultural enterprises have already brought 338 thousand tons of organic fertilizers to the fields. Last year, 149 thousand tons of organic fertilizers were applied.
In 2019, farmers of the Tomsk Oblast purchased 17.3 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers and applied 21 kg per 1 ha.
