The sowing campaign has begun in the Tomsk region

The press-service of the Tomsk regional administration reports that the first 300 hectares of agricultural land in the region have been sown with spring crops.

Currently, 68.74 thousand hectares of the fields of the Tomsk region (38% of the planned area) have been processed to increase their moisture level. Farmers have carried out harrowing of perennial grasses and winter crops on the area of 17.2 thousand hectares (32.2% of the planned volume). For the harvest of 2022, 12 thousand hectares have been treated with mineral fertilizers.

The harvest of grain and leguminous crops in the Tomsk region this year is expected to increase by 4.1% to 420.2 thousand tons.
