PhosAgro helps Saratov region to fight COVID-19

The Governor of the Saratov region Valery Radaev and PhosAgro CEO Andrey Guryev held a business meeting to discuss the measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As the Governor emphasized, the fight against COVID-19 is a common task. PhosAgro takes an active role in solving it and effectively achieves the desired results. According to Valery Radaev, many of the other industrial enterprises in the region should follow the example of PhosAgro. Moreover, not only in implementing preventative measures in industries, which General Director of Balakovo branch of Apatit Andrey Shibnev reported previously, but also supporting medical institutions.

The Governor thanked Andrey Guryev for supporting the regional health care system. PhosAgro assists medical institutions of Balakovo city in purchasing equipment and protective means. The company also sponsored the construction of the regional infection hospital. This is an example of high social responsibility for the benefit of all residents of the Saratov region.

The total amount of funds allocated by PhosAgro both to fight the virus within the company and to support the medical and social infrastructures in the cities of their presence exceeds 1.5 billion rubles (approx. $20.94 million).
