The production of crop protection agents increased in Russia

In the first half of this year, the production of herbicides and fungicides in Russia increased by 50.4% to 58.2 thousand tons and by 12.1% to 18.2 thousand tons respectively.
In June, the production of herbicides increased by 29.9% compared to the same month in 2019 and amounted to 8.7 thousand tons, and the output of fungicides by 7.6% to 3 thousand tons. However, compared to May 2020, the production of herbicides and fungicides declined by 23.9% and 34.5% respectively.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
