Agrochemicals go up in price in the Stavropol region

Farmers of the Stavropol region are preparing for spring feeding of winter crops. They have currently accumulated almost 32 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers.
“Prices for mineral fertilizers have increased by an average of 23% compared to 2020. Nevertheless, farmers of the region fulfill the planned norm on the application of mineral fertilizers using them effectively,” said Vyacheslav Dryiger, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol region.
For the first half of 2021, farmers of the Stavropol region totally need 135.4 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
