Carbamide exports from Russia may be increased

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has proposed amendments to the government decree, which provides for the limitation of fertilizer exports that came into force on December 1 this year.

The Ministry suggests increasing the quota for the export of carbamide by 280 thousand tons due to the commissioning of new production capacities at the Acron plant (part of Acron Group). Next year, the output of carbamide in Russia is predicted at the level of 9.7 million tons. Its supplies to the domestic market in 2022 should amount to 505 thousand tons.

Since December 1, 2021, Russia has had export quotas of 5.9 million tons of nitrogen and 5.35 million tons of complex fertilizers. They will expire on May 31, 2022.
