Sowings area of spring crops in the Krasnodar region remained unchanged

Farmers and agricultural enterprises of the Krasnodar region have finished sowing spring crops, said the Governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratyev.
“Our farmers have completed the sowing campaign. Over 1.7 million hectares have been sown with spring crops. This year, corm occupied most of the area of 440 thousand hectares, sunflower – 430 thousand hectares, and sugar beet – about 200 thousand hectares,” noted Veniamin Kondratyev.
Last year, almost 2 million hectares were allocated for spring crops in the Krasnodar region. In 2022, the cultivated area was slightly reduced.
