Brazil may adopt new pesticides regulation

The Brazilian parliament decided to accelerate the adoption of a draft law on the production and use of pesticides, which has been discussed for 20 years.
“To increase crop yields and control pests, we need to develop more effective and less toxic plant protection products. The adoption of this bill will give impetus to the development of the Brazilian agro-industrial complex and ensure its food security,” said parliamentary deputy Luiz Nishimori.
Currently, the draft law on pesticides is being considered by the head of the Brazilian Parliament Rodrigo Pacheco, who should put it to the vote.
