Latvia blocked Russian fertilizers

Latvia and several other countries are blocking mineral fertilizers, which Russia is ready to donate to the poorest countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia said.
“Russian companies still can’t carry out commercial deliveries of fertilizers, and it’s impossible for them even to transfer about 300 thousand tons of products to the poorest countries. And do it for free. These fertilizers remain blocked mainly in the warehouses of Latvia (80%), as well as Estonia, Belgium and the Netherlands, which authorities do not allow the shipment of Russian products through the UN World Food Program,” the Ministry said in its statement.
In July, representatives of Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN signed documents that provide for the lifting of restrictions on the export of mineral fertilizers from Russia to the world market.
