TogliattiAzot reported on the implementation of the project for the construction of the carbamide production unit No. 3 during the period of 2018-2023.

The company emphasized the technological and environmental aspects of the new production. Thus, the experts drew attention to a significant reduction in carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere due to its use as a raw material for carbamide production at the new unit.

To reduce the man-made burden, two new gas recovery units with a purification rate of up to 94% will be launched. This will reduce emissions by more than 405 tons annually. The total number of such installations at the industrial site will increase to 12.

The equipment installed on the unit will make it possible to clean the resulting condensate and reuse it as boiler water. This will increase the energy efficiency of production by reducing water consumption and wastewater disposal at the unit to 400 thousand cubic meters per year.

The project has passed the state ecological expertise. At the industrial site, atmospheric air is monitored on a regular basis, noise levels are measured, as well as surveys of underground, surface, and wastewater. Numerous studies have confirmed that the launch of the new unit will not have a negative impact on the environment and will be absolutely safe for the health of employees.
