TogliattiAzot introduced the new products shipment method

TogliattiAzot specialists are carrying out commissioning work on a methanol loading unit. The new technology involves loading products into tank trucks. Previously, it was sent by rail.

The relevance of expanding distribution channels lies in solving logistics problems, the main of which is the congestion of the line, which is used by all enterprises in the city. The emergence of a motor transport niche will increase supply volumes and significantly reduce the load on the railway.

Construction work on the loading center took more than a year. This is a complex structure with modern equipment and multi-level protection systems. Installation was carried out following the requirements of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor). The capacity of the unit is 72 thousand tons of methanol per year. Two auto-boilers of 20-25 tons each can be filled at the same time, which takes on average about two hours.

Testing of the technology began at the end of August. During the commissioning period, one auto-boiler is filled, and the finished products are shipped during the daytime.

“TogliattiAzot is constantly improving production technologies, improving the environmental situation at the industrial site and in the region of its presence. The company minimizes its carbon footprint by processing carbon dioxide into methanol, which is in great demand by our customers. Currently, TogliattiAzot’s customers include companies from the Samara region and nearby regions. Due to the introduction of additional logistics routes, the geography of customers and, accordingly, the number of products produced will be increased,” said Andrey Kurgin, chief engineer of TogliattiAzot.
