$1.6 million granted to Agrobiomics for climate-resilient agriculture

Agrobiomics, a Denmark-based bio-agriculture company, has received $1.6 million from Denmark’s Green Development and Demonstration Programme (GUDP) to advance its BIORESCUE project. The initiative focuses on validating a biostimulant, PTA, designed to enhance the drought tolerance of cereal crops.
In collaboration with the University of Copenhagen, Agrolab, and SEGES Innovation P/S, the project will utilize advanced screening tools and field testing to ensure PTA’s effectiveness under local Danish conditions. The goal is to improve cereal crop resilience to extreme weather, a growing challenge in agriculture.
Agrobiomics CEO Ananda Scherner stated that the grant would significantly accelerate the development and market readiness of the biostimulant, providing timely solutions for Danish farmers facing climate stressors.
Scheduled to run from 2025 to 2029, the project aims to stabilize crop yields during droughts while laying the groundwork for future innovations in climate-adaptive agriculture.
