Pivot Bio and Taranis have formed a strategic partnership aimed at expanding grower access to government conservation incentives for sustainable nitrogen management practices. The collaboration, announced June 18, enables Pivot Bio’s dealer network to offer Taranis Conservation services that help US farmers secure federal support for practices such as soil testing, nitrogen stabilizers and variable rate application technologies.

The effort centers on facilitating participation in USDA’s Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP). By combining Taranis’ AI-powered guidance and documentation support with Pivot Bio’s microbial nitrogen product, PROVEN 40 for Corn, the two companies aim to help farmers reduce synthetic nitrogen use and improve soil health while enhancing their eligibility for federal cost-share programs.

“This partnership is about empowering growers to make sustainable nitrogen management a reality—and get paid for it,” said Jim Kelly, Director of Commercial Sustainability Partnerships at Pivot Bio. “Taranis has built a seamless process that reduces the friction in accessing government programs. Together, we can help more growers adopt PROVEN 40 and other smart agronomic tools, while improving soil health, ROI and long-term resilience.”

Taranis Conservation operates on a success-based model, charging growers only when funding is secured. Its end-to-end approach is designed to simplify access to NRCS programs by providing eligibility assessments, digital recordkeeping and USDA-compliant documentation. According to the companies, the service has the potential to double a grower’s net profit through incentives and improved nutrient efficiency.

“We created Taranis Conservation to remove the administrative hurdles and information gaps that often prevent growers from tapping into the conservation dollars potentially available to them,” said Taranis CEO Opher Flohr. “Pivot Bio is at the forefront of sustainable nitrogen solutions, and we’re excited to partner with them to help more growers access funding, improve nitrogen efficiency and strengthen their conservation efforts.”

The joint offering is available immediately across Pivot Bio’s dealer network. Participating growers retain full agronomic control while receiving expert assistance with documentation and application submission to the USDA. The program is also structured to align with emerging compliance frameworks for low carbon intensity scoring, which is gaining importance in carbon markets and sustainable supply chain programs.

Pivot Bio, recognized for its climate-oriented innovations, develops microbial crop nutrition products aimed at reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers. Taranis, based in Indiana with global operations, provides AI-based crop intelligence and conservation services to retailers and growers across North America, Brazil and Europe.

Europe is falling behind in this field. The concerns 30 years ago was reasonable. Now not so much. We need crops that can survive in a more extreme future climate. Handle droughts and hot weather better. Crops that are less tasty to pests like hogs and deere.
