Vittia launches two new bioinsecticides for pest control in Brazil

Brazilian agricultural inputs company Vittia has introduced two new bioinsecticides, META-TURBO MAX and BOVÉRIA-TURBO WP, developed from exclusive fungal strains discovered by the company.
META-TURBO MAX is based on the fungus Metarhizium anisopliae BV12 and produced through liquid fermentation technology. The concentrated suspension formulation is designed for use against pests including sugarcane weevil, fall armyworm, soybean looper, cotton boll weevil, brown stink bug, and coffee leaf miner. Vittia said the product helps preserve beneficial insects and lowers the risk of resistance development.
BOVÉRIA-TURBO WP contains the BVF15 isolate of the fungus Beauveria bassiana in a wettable powder formulation that protects spores against ultraviolet radiation and facilitates tank mixing. It is intended for the control of whitefly, coffee borer beetle, sugarcane weevil, and corn leafhopper. According to the company, the product acts within 72 hours of application, is compatible with other crop protection tools, and preserves natural enemies.
Mírian Rabelo de Faria, Technical Development Manager at Vittia, said the products are part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its biological portfolio. “With META-TURBO MAX and BOVÉRIA-TURBO WP, we have introduced exclusive strains with more virulent action, which, when integrated with pest management, provide broad-spectrum control and compatibility with other management tools,” she stated.
De Faria added that Vittia’s vertically integrated biotechnology operations, from strain bioprospecting to commercialization, support continuous development of sustainable crop protection solutions.
The company said the new bioinsecticides reinforce its commitment to Brazilian agribusiness by delivering effective and sustainable technologies for pest and disease control.
